Bayern Munich Blitz Repeats as the Challenger Sports Invitational Championi!

Bayern Munich Blitz repeats as the Challenger Sports Invitational Champion! The Blitz began their quest with a win over longtime foe, the Pink Panthers, with a 2-1 victory under the Friday night lights. Blitz followed up on Saturday with a defensive stand-off and a 0-0 tie with Oklahoma Futbol Club. Blitz cranked up the offense in the Sunday morning game against SLSG Metro Blue with a 3-0 victory which opened the door for a finale against Lou Fusz United Elite - Elam. The game went down to the wire as the Blitz scored a goal on a breakaway to become champion again with a 1-0 victory. Congratulations, Blitz!

Pumas 97/98 Roll In The Midwest Kickoff Classic!

The Bayern Munich Pumas 97/98 entered the Midwest Kickoff Classic, their first tournament of the season, determined to pick up where they left off in MO State Cup. The Pumas racked up enough points in pool play to secure a spot in the finals and prove who deserved to carry home the U14 trophy.  They faced formible foe BVSC Stars Galaxy 97/98 who gave the Pumas their only loss with a 0-1 finish in pool play.  The game was a barn burner as the game ended in regulation with a1-1 tie as the Pumas scoring in the final minutes of play to show their resolve.  The Pumas would not be denied during the shoot-out and they carried home the championship trophy.  Congratulations, Bayern Munich Pumas 97/98 on a well deserved victory!

Bayern Munich Blitz Takes The Midwest Kickoff Classic!

Blitz rolled into Overalnd Park to play in the Midwest Kickoff Classic over the weekend.  This was Blitz's first entry into 11v11 tournament play.  Blitz took their first two games, 2-0 against KC Select United Red and 5-0 against the TSC Hurricanes from Tulsa.  Defense was the word of the day against BVSC Stars Benefica as both teams stubbornly hung on to end regulation with a 0-0 tie.  The PKs would fall Blitz's way as they threaded the net to end with 3 goals to Benefica's 1 goal.  Congratulations, Bayern Munich Blitz!
